Update 9/17:
We are happy to report that our staff members in Florence’s path are safe. Please stay tuned for additional updates on our crisis response efforts.

As Hurricane Florence nears the East Coast, our Raleigh Headquarters staff, along with the staffs of our other East Coast locations, are preparing our offices, warehouse spaces and homes in anticipation of the storm’s impact. We hope to minimize interruptions to our operations.

Rise Against Hunger is committed to providing emergency relief in situations where our aid is needed and effective. While Rise Against Hunger typically does not respond to U.S. emergencies in the form of meals, we have provided assistance in the form of warehouse space, truck usage or other types of aid in the past. We are part of a coalition of non-profit organizations, Partnership for Humanity, that works together to assess situations like Hurricane Florence and provide emergency support, and will continue to take direction in times of emergency from FEMA and local government officials in times of crisis.

We will provide updates on our website and social media channels when and if we are able. Our thoughts are with those in the storm’s path.
