“Why should there be hunger and deprivation in any land, in any city, at any table, when man has the resources and the scientific know-how to provide all mankind with the basic necessities of life? There is no deficit in human resources. The deficit is in human will.”
-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

During his remarkable lifetime of service, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. advocated for a world without poverty and hunger. He believed that all people should have access to three meals a day, and that ensuring this basic need was a vital part of reaching equality.

This year, Dr. King’s dream is even more important as COVID-19 has caused the number of people facing hunger worldwide to drastically rise. In honor of Dr. King’s legacy, we ask you to help “feed” the dream this upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

As part of our Feeding the Dream initiative, you can make a difference in Dr. King’s honor! Here are three ways to help:

Help Package Meals For People Around the World

From January 8-25, 2021, Rise Against Hunger is working to package 350,000 meals in honor of Dr. King’s legacy. Your community group or organization can help us reach that goal by hosting a Rise Against Hunger Experience meal packaging event during that time.

To get started, please fill out our interest form and a member of our Philadelphia team will be in touch soon.
