Rise Against Hunger Pittsburgh was founded in 2015 and serves the Greater Pittsburgh region, including northern and eastern Ohio, western Pennsylvania, western New York and northern West Virginia. In 2018, nearly 12,000 local volunteers and partnering organizations, including Kraft Heinz, Charles River Labs, the East Ohio United Methodist Conference, and Carnegie Mellon University, will help to build the local movement to end global hunger. In this region alone, by the end of 2018, more than 8.1 million meals will have been packaged to benefit 12 countries around the world.
Volunteers are one of the essential resources Rise Against Hunger needs to help realize the vision of a world without hunger. Each year, thousands of volunteers join Rise Against Hunger not only to package meals, but to support local operations and assist with administrative duties. Ready to get started? Please complete our volunteer interest form and we’ll be in touch soon! If you are interested in hosting a meal packaging event, please fill out the form below.
