Rise Against Hunger Orlando was founded in 2011 and serves the state of Florida. In 2018, more than 14,300 local volunteers and partnering organizations, including Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Georgianna UMC and University Carillon UMC, have helped build the local movement to end global hunger. In this region alone, through 2018, more than 14.4 million meals have been packaged to benefit 14 countries.

Rise Against Hunger is looking for passionate individuals to join our Community Engagement Board!
The Community Engagement Board Member will work closely with Rise Against Hunger staff to identify and execute strategies that will grow the program and increase the impact on ending world hunger. Duties will include participating in speaking engagements, increasing local partnerships and meal packaging events and developing fundraising events.
– Must have strong customer service and communication skills.
– Minimum one year commitment.
– Attend bi-monthly meetings in person or virtually.

Hooray, it’s October! Orlando Rise Against Hunger will receive a $1 donation for every $2.50 Community Bag sold during the month of October at the Winn-Dixie at 951 West State Road 434, Longwood FL.
Three Presbyterian churches in the Leesburg area join forces every year to package meals with Rise Against Hunger. In 2019, they will surpass 500,000+ meals packaged together since 2011. We appreciate everyone who contributes their time and resources including members of GraceWay Presbyterian Church, North Lake Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church of Mount Dora.
