Rise Against Hunger’s Orange County office was opened in 2011 and has packaged meals throughout Southern California, Arizona, Las Vegas and Utah. The OC office was the first office to be opened in California. In 2019, nearly 15,000 local volunteers and partnering organizations, including Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Academy Mortgage an Ingram Micro, have helped build the local movement to end global hunger. Since our establishment in 2011, about 24.1 million meals have been packaged to benefit 14 countries.’
Volunteer Opportunities and Orange County Community Engagement Board
Volunteers are one of the essential resources Rise Against Hunger needs to help realize the vision of a world without hunger. Each year, thousands of volunteers join Rise Against Hunger not only to package meals, but to support local operations and assist with administrative duties. The Rise Against Hunger Orange County location is also supported by Community Engagement Board members, and we are currently looking for new members. Ready to get started by volunteering or joining our Community Engagement Board? Please complete our volunteer interest form and we’ll be in touch soon!

OpenTable, one of Orange County’s favorite hosts, has hosted a Meal Packaging Event for the past 3 years at their sales conference from 2018-2020. This group has increased their meal goal every year by at least 20% with a total of 183,816 meals packaged and sent to South East Asia. The OC team has been lucky to share our mission with this group and facilitate their events, engaging over 700 OpenTable employees. Thank you OpenTable for your committed dedicated to end world hunger by 2030!
