Rise Against Hunger New York was founded in 2016 and serves the New York City, North and Central New Jersey, Long Island, Upstate New York and southern and western Connecticut regions.
In 2018, more than 24,300 local volunteers and partnering organizations, including PepsiCo, Novartis and WiACT, helped build the local movement to end global hunger.
In this region alone, through 2018, more than 12.5 million meals have been packaged to benefit 10 countries.
Looking to volunteer locally but impact globally? Need community service credit for your school or faith-based congregation? Please contact David Barletta at email@example.com for all of our volunteer opportunities. Our volunteer program is perfect for families, friends, individuals, schools, companies, civic groups and faith-based congregations!
On September 13, we will be holding our first fundraising Tricky Tray event! This will be our largest fundraising event of the year! The Tricky Tray dinner is designed to raffle off prizes and to raise funds. The funds will continue to support Rise Against Hunger meal packing experiences and to make upgrades to our Kearny, NJ warehouse which will allow for a more streamlined and effective way to support meal packing experiences. This will support Rise Against Hunger’s vision of ending world hunger by the year 2030. We hope to see you there! Get your tickets today.
