Rise Against Hunger Miami launched in the fall of 2018. Previously, Rise Against Hunger’s efforts in the Miami area were supported by our Orlando location. Over the years, the community of South Florida has shown a commitment to ending world hunger through support from local volunteers, faith-based organizations, civic organizations, and business partnerships including Cornerstone Church, Gulliver Schools and the B’Nai Torah Congregation. In 2019 alone, nearly 3,000 volunteers in the region came together to package more than 477,000 meals! The Miami region has provided meals for recipients in five countries. Our vision is to see South Florida unite in full potential to end hunger by 2030 through support of Rise Against Hunger Experience meal packaging events and nourishing lives inititiatives, sustainable agriculture programs and emergency relief efforts.
Volunteers are one of the essential resources Rise Against Hunger needs to help realize the vision of a world without hunger. Each year, thousands of volunteers join Rise Against Hunger not only to package meals, but to support local operations and assist with administrative duties. Ready to get started?
